

Deeply analytical and insightful, Andres oversees LUCITÀ’s operations and finance, re-engineering our management best practices on a pro bono basis. Andres’ strong background in science and industrial engineering in applied mathematics enables him to integrate our strategic goals with our daily operations. He ensures smooth interaction and communication among all essential processes and functions of the company.
Andres is also currently engaged with one of the world’s top professional services firms in New York City. In his previous career, he was a data analysis manager in the psychiatry department at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, in collaboration with the Veteran Affairs Department of the U.S. government. He also held various analytical and consulting positions developing and supporting financial and analytical models for the investment banking division in Goldman Sachs, the United Nations Development Program, and the natural healing/ alternative medicine industry sector.
Andres enjoyed an early academic career in scientific research on the molecular basis of tropical diseases. His graduate thesis focused on the modeling of tectonic plate movements using NASA’s GPS data. In addition, he taught differential and integral calculus, geometry and trigonometry, statistics and probability, biology and optimization models as a teaching assistant in the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
Andres holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. He is a formal representative of the Colombian Fisheries and Sportfishing Association (Pispesca) in the U.S. He speaks Spanish, English and French fluently and enjoys kayaking and flyfishing in his spare time.
