Deeply analytical and insightful, Andres oversees LUCITÀ’s operations and finance, by bringing many years of experience in global projects and initiatives in sectors ranging from management consulting to healthcare. Andres’ strong background in science and industrial engineering has proven critical in integrating our strategic goals with our daily operations.
In his previous career, Andres worked for one of the top management consulting firms in the world as well as positions held in the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, investment banking, the United Nations Development Program, and the natural healing/alternative medicine industry sector.
Andres enjoyed an early academic career in scientific research on the molecular basis of tropical diseases. After that, while pursuing his masters degree in industrial engineering, he modeled the time series of tectonic plate movements using NASA’s GPS data. In addition, he taught various courses in calculus, statistics, biology and optimization models in the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
Andres holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. As member of the Colombian Fisheries and Sportfishing Association (Pispesca), he is actively involved in fisheries and sustainable recreational fishing. He speaks Spanish, English and French fluently and enjoys kayaking, flyfishing, plant tissue culture, and vermicomposting in his spare time.
