As a design and communications firm specializing in sustainability, green design and corporate social responsibility,
practicing what we preach is essential to our business and to the impact that our activities exercise upon our people,
our partners, our clients, and the world in general.

The wonderful thing is that there are numerous other design firms, individual artists, business leaders and other persons
and entities who share our views when it comes to the role a business should play in today's world.  Some have formalized
these views into formal pledges and public commitments.  There are too many to mention, but here are those organizations
that we have chosed to participate in, and formally commit to their pledges:

designers accord

LUCITÀ is a Design Firm Adopter of The Designers Accord, a "...global coalition of designers, educators, researchers,
engineers, and corporate leaders working together to create positive environmental and social impact" by integrating
the principles of sustainable design into all aspects of the development and production processes of the creative services
industries.  Endorsed by AIGA, Cumulus, and the IDSA, The Designers Accord counts 100,000 members from the
international creative community representing 100 countries and all major design disciplines.

Design Can Change

LUCITÀ has also taken the pledge of Design Can Change, a non commercial initiative started in British Columbia
bringing together the international design community and working toward system-wide change to the way designers’
work impacts our planet.

The United Nations Global Compact

One of the very first official acts of commitment to sustainable and responsible business that we carried out was
signing on to the Global Compact in 2001, shortly after it was launched.  For us, it is just as important to pledge
our commitment to a greener and more equitable and sustainable world as a design firm, as it is to do so as a
business and corporate citizen.  Our latest Communications on Progress can be viewed here.
